WRITE OUT LOUD

Everywhere you look in Amsterdam, you see stained glass. It’s a classic part of Dutch styling, but fewer and fewer artists practice the trade today. 

I created this process to blend the classic look of stained glass with modern manufacturing techniques. 

The design was a simple reflection of the vulnerability of being a creative writer, set in an American traditional tattoo style. 

Each piece was carefully drawn in CAD, and laser cut from different types of acrylic. Then, I sandwiched the entire piece between two pieces of 2mm float glass before installing the entire unit.
