When moving into a new office, I knew that I didn’t want a desk, but a workbench. I wanted to make something that didn’t just fit the space, but accentuated it. 

 

The result is a truly bullet-proof design. The desk top flows into two steps to enter the room. It was both a challenge and a joy to figure out the design and execute it. 

 

Building it from scratch offered another opportunity. I was able to run wiring through the desk. A small, glowing button under the desk releases an electronic clasp hidden in the adjacent cork wall, revealing a custom liquor cabinet.
